PRESENTED BY:                                                                                                                                   The 3rd annual Green Lakes Endurance Runs is presented by Ultrarunning Matters in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation-Central Region.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:                                                                                                                         The 100 km race is 8 laps and the 50 km race is 4 laps of a 12.5 km loop course that includes shaded shoreline, ascents and descents through upland forest to and from a rolling meadow with a panoramic view. The 100 km race will be open 14 hours for those   hoping to meet the qualifying standard for the 2009 Western States Endurance Run. This event proudly participates in the Western New York Ultra Series and the La Sportiva TrailRunner Trophy Series. 
USATF NIAGARA ASSOCIATION 50 KM TRAIL CHAMPIONSHIP:                                              The 50 km race will host the 2008 USATF Niagara Association 50 km Trail Championship. The race is open to both non-USATF Niagara and USATF Niagara members. $400 purse and USATF medals for USATF Niagara competitors. 
 
RACE REGISTRATION:                                                                                                                Available through RunRace.net. Late registration fees go into effect August 1st, and registration closes August 17 midnight EST. No race day registration.

Green Lakes State Park 

7900 Green Lakes Road (Rt. 290) Fayetteville, New York 13066  
Green Lakes State Park is a treasure just east of Syracuse, New York. The park takes its name from two glacially-formed lakes (Green & Round Lake) which get their distinctive color from deep clear waters and minerals from limestone bedrock. Round Lake is designated a National Natural Landmark.
Of the park's 1,756 acres, surveys have found nearly 800 acres of old growth forest. This multi-use park has campgrounds, miles of hiking/biking trails, and a golf course with restaurant. The beach area includes picnic areas, a concession stand, cold showers in the beach house, and a playground. This is a nice setting for family and crew.
